Este post é um tributo ao 159º aniversário de Walter Irving Kennard (03/12/1860 - 31/05/1936), um brilhante problemista de xadrez americano. De acordo com A. C. White e Kenneth Howard, ele costumava compor seus problemas sem usar um tabuleiro de xadrez. Sua magnum opus, na minha opinião, é este mate-em-4 publicado aqui em fevereiro de 2018.
(This post is a tribute to the 159th birthday of Walter Irving Kennard (03/12/1860 - 31/05/1936), a brilliant American chess problemist. According to A. C. White and Kenneth Howard, he used to compose his problems without using a chess board. His magnum opus, in my opinion, is this four-mover published here in February 2018.)
